ZRH airport dioramas at aero-terminal
Did you know that we have two different dioramas of ZRH Airport on display at aero-terminal?
We have a 1:500 scale replica of ZRH's Dock E on permanent display in one of our shop windows. The taxiways and stands are illuminated by hundreds of fiber optic filaments and recently we have made an LED modification in the terminal building so that it is also illuminated at night.
An even more impressive diorama is the large 1:200 scale replica of ZRH airport from the 1960s with the old airport buildings and the famous old tower. The radial apron is fully occupied with the old props and early jets such as the Douglas DC-6, Douglas DC-8, Douglas DC-9, Caravelle, Coronado or DH.106 Comet and many more.
